On February 18, 2026, a Memorandum of Strategic Cooperation was signed in Kyiv between the Ukrainian Peace Council and the Association of Regional Organizations “Council of Regional Associations of Ukraine.” The document was signed by Mykhailo Zgurovskyi, Chairman of the Ukrainian Peace Council, and Viktor Tkachenko, Chairman of the Association.
The partnership aims to consolidate efforts to strengthen national unity, promote inclusive public dialogue, and foster a culture of peace and non-violent engagement. Particular attention will be given to supporting civil society initiatives, enhancing interregional solidarity, and contributing to Ukraine’s humanitarian recovery.
The priority areas of cooperation include the development of interregional civic dialogue; implementation of educational and awareness programs on peace culture; expansion of international and people-to-people diplomacy, including engagement with the Ukrainian diaspora; and support for humanitarian and social initiatives assisting veterans, internally displaced persons, and families of the fallen.
An important component of the cooperation will be the organization of national and international conferences, forums, and round tables aimed at developing a strategic vision for Ukraine’s post-war recovery as a democratic, prosperous, and secure state grounded in advanced education, science, innovation, and high-quality human capital development.
The signing of the Memorandum reflects the parties’ commitment to constructive international dialogue and partnership in support of a resilient civil society and sustainable peaceful development in Ukraine.
